When is the final paycheck due when an employee is fired under Maine law?

As per Me. Rev. Stat. Ann. tit. 26 § 626, when an employee is fired, the employer must give him or her a final paycheck on the next regularly scheduled pay date, or within two weeks of the employee’s demand for payment, whichever is earlier.
