It depends. You may be liable for any damages caused by any livestock housed on your property if they have escaped your property as a result of you not properly securing them. However, if your livestock has escaped from your property on their own or by some other means not caused by your failure to adequately secure them then you may not be responsible.

If your dog, that has previously been found to be a dangerous dog, bites another person, domesticated animal or livestock without being provoked you, as the owner, may face misdemeanor criminal charges and even felony charges if your dangerous dog causes severe injury or death to another human being. Also, if a dangerous dog bites a human, domesticated animal or livestock without being provoked the dog may be confiscated by animal control, and placed in holding for 10 days, at the end of which the dog can be killed. You will have the opportunity to set a hearing to challenge any allegations before your dog is killed.
