Experior provides computerized examinations through a multistate network of testing centers. Each license issued by the Department is valid only for the line of authority named on the license.&lt;p&gt;An agent is any individual, firm or corporation appointed by an insurer to solicit applications for insurance or annuities or to negotiate insurance or annuities on its behalf.&lt;p&gt;A solicitor is an individual employed by an agent or broker to solicit applications for insurance (other than life or disability insurance) as a representative of that agent or broker. &lt;p&gt;A broker is a resident individual, firm or corporation organized under the laws of the state of Wyoming who not being an agent of the insurer, as an independent contractor and on behalf of the insured, for compensation or fee solicits, negotiates, or procures insurance or the renewal or continuance thereof for insureds or prospective insureds, other than himself/herself.&lt;p&gt;An adjuster is any individual who, for compensation as an independent contractor, or as the employee of an independent contractor, or as a salaried employee of an insurer, or for fee or commission, on behalf of the insurer investigates and negotiates settlement of claims arising under insurance contracts.&lt;p&gt;A consultant is any individual who, for a fee, engages in a business of offering to another person any advice, counsel, opinion or service with respect to insurance needs or risks, or concerning the benefits, coverages or provisions under any policy of insurance that could be issued in the state, or involving the advantages or disadvantages of any such policy of insurance, or formal plan of managing pure risk, and is not compensated by an insurer, agent or broker for the advice given.&lt;p&gt;A service representative is any individual employed by an insurer or managing general agent to work with agents in soliciting, negotiating and carrying out insurance for the general agent.</description>
