I Was Watching My Friend's Dog And He Bit Someone. Am I Legally Responsible?

It depends. The same rules apply as if it were your dog that bit someone. Therefore, if you knew the dog that you were watching after had a history of violent propensities and the dog injures someone then you will most likely be liable. On difference present when watching over another's dog is that you must have dominion and control over the animal to be liable. Thus, if you are just stopping by a friend's house to feed the dog once a day and the dog gets out and bites someone when you are not their you may not be liable. However, if you keep your friend's dog at your own home and the dog bites someone you very well may be liable.
