Am I Required To Obtain A License For My Dog?

Yes. If you own a dog that is over 6 months of age you must obtain a valid license for that dog. Obtaining a valid license for a dog includes paying the required fees to the commissioner of agriculture and providing the commissioner of agriculture with the proper vaccination information. Also, your dog of over 6 months of age must always wear a collar with a tag approved by the commissioner of agriculture. However, your dog of over 6 months of age does not have to wear its tag if it is in your presence and engaged in legal hunting activities.
