Can The Examination Requirement Be Waived?

The Life and Health examination will be waived if you submit proof that you have been awarded the designation of Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU). Similarly, the Property and Casualty examination will be waived if you submit proof that you have been awarded the designation of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU). By law, these are the only circumstances under which the examination may be waived. If you are seeking a waiver of the required examination, you need only submit CLU or CPCU documentation directly to the Bureau with your license application, criminal history record and nonrefundable license application processing fee. You do not need to submit the Request for Waiver form for the study course requirement.
