How Long Does A Divorce Take In Oklahoma?

The court may grant a final order in an uncontested divorce that does not involve children, in as little as 10 days after the filing of the initial petition for divorce. If minor children the court shall not issue a final order for at least ninety (90) days from the date of filing the petition. However, the 90 day requirement may be waived by the court for good cause shown and as long as the parties do not object. Please keep in mind that these time frames are assuming that you and your spouse agree on all issues. Should you and your spouse disagree on any issue, then the divorce may take much longer.
