What Are Some Other Regulations?

  • Open intoxicants are permitted in the vehicle at the option of local jurisdictions.
  • A hit­and­run with a fatality is a felony.
  • Unloaded firearms are permitted in the vehicle. Firearms must be cased and not easily accessible.
  • Studded tires are permitted from November 1 to April 15.
  • Tire chains are not required.
