What Is The New Car Lemon Law Term Of Protection?

The term of protection is for the first two years or 18,000 miles from date of delivery, whichever is reached first.

It is during this term of protection that you must report the defect to the manufacturer or dealer.

This term of protection may be extended by any amount of time during which repair services are unavailable due to war, strike, or natural disaster.

As long as notice of the defect is given within this term of protection, the manufacturer may not charge for the repairs of any defect covered by the warranty, regardless of when the repairs are performed.
