What Does Comparative Negligence Mean?

Comparative negligence law is based on a percentage of negligence. If one person's negligence was less than the negligence of the party with whom a claim for recovery is made, recovery will be in proportion to the amount of negligence attributed to such other party. Nebraska subscribes to the pure comparative negligence theory of fault.
