What Are The Restrictions On Paying Individuals Who Work As Agents Or Brokers?

An insurer, broker, or agent shall not pay any commission, brokerage, or other valuable consideration to any person, without special authorization, for services rendered in The State of Nebraska as an agent or broker unless one of the following criteria has been met: the person has been appointed by the insurer; the person is licensed as a broker in this state, or the person was legally licensed at the time services were rendered.
