What happens if a complaint is filed against me with the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners?

Trained investigators will investigate the allegations cited in the complaint to determine if there has been a violation of the Texas Occupations Code then the case is scheduled for an informal settlement conference. If that settlement conference does not result in a settlement then a hearing will be scheduled with an administrative law judge. If a violation of the Texas Occupations Code is found to have occurred then the Board can impose sanctions against the licensee that range from a reprimand to license revocation.
