What is the potential liability in a medical malpractice case in Nebraska?

In Nebraska medical malpractice actions, each health care provider’s liability is limited to $500,000 and all of the defendants together are responsible for no more than $1.75 million dollars in damages. Any damage awards over that amount may be paid from the state’s Excess Liability Fund.
