What happens if a complaint is filed against me with the Illinois State Medical Disciplinary Board?

When a complaint is filed with the State Medical Disciplinary Board, the Board investigates the allegations by collecting information from the complainant and the respondent doctor. The 11 person Board recommends to the state whether the doctor should be disciplined or whether the complaint should be dismissed.
