What happens if a complaint is filed against me with the Delaware Division of Professional Regulation?

Once a complaint is filed against a doctor with the Delaware Division of Professional Regulation, the doctor is contacted and provided with a chance to respond to the allegations. The matter will be thoroughly investigated and then a decision will be made as to whether the matter should be dismissed or whether the doctor has violated the law and should be sanctioned.

The information on this page is meant to provide a general overview of the law. The laws in your state and/or city may deviate significantly from those described here. If you have specific questions related to your situation you should speak with a local attorney.
