What happens if a complaint is filed against me with the Arkansas State Medical Board?

Once a complainant sends a letter of complaint to the Arkansas State Medical Board, the Board will send a copy to the doctor who is the subject of the letter. The doctor then has two weeks to respond to the letter. After the doctor’s response is received, the two sides of the case are compiled and presented to the Board at the next meeting. Within two weeks of the Board’s meeting the complainant and doctor are notified of the Board’s decisions and the sanctions against the doctor, if any.
