How Does A Service Representative Become Licensed?

  1. Complete an application (Form AL 1020, Rev. 8/99) and pay a $40.00 fee.
  2. No written examination is required, but service representatives must complete the 40­hour pre­licensing course.
  3. Must be a salaried employee of an insurer/company and be authorized to work for or through agents in soliciting and negotiating insurance for such insurers/companies.
