What Public Notice Requirements are There for a Real Estate Foreclosure in Vermont?

Vermont law allows for strict judicial foreclosures and for non judicial foreclosures if loan agreements so authorize. If a non judicial foreclosure is pursued then a Notice of Sale must be published at least 30 days prior to the sale. If a judicial foreclosure is pursued then the filing of the lawsuit is public notice of an intended foreclosure and the court may set additional public notice requirements.
