What Public Notice Requirements are There for a Real Estate Foreclosure in South Carolina?

The public is notified of an upcoming foreclosure sale on a South Carolina property in a few ways. The Notice of Sale for the property must be published in the newspaper for three weeks prior to the scheduled sale date. It must also be posted at the court house and two other public places in the county at least 3 weeks before the intended sale.
