Where and When do Foreclosure Sales Take Place in Iowa?

Iowa property foreclosures occur by public auction which must take place between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm. However, bids for the property must be received by the sheriff prior to the sale date because the sheriff opens and reads the bids at the foreclosure auction. The exact date, time and location of the auction are published in the Notice of Sale for the property.
