Can An Employer Discipline, Discharge Or Refuse To Hire An Employee That Has A Withholding Order?

No. If an employer discharges, disciplines, refuses to hire or otherwise penalizes an employee because of a support obligation, the employer can be ordered to employ, reinstate and pay restitution to the employee. The employer may also be fined up to $200.
