Who Should Know About My Health Care Directive?

You decide who may see your health care directive. It is a good idea to tell your health care agent, family, close friends, health care provider, and attorney and give them copies of it. Do not keep it in a safe deposit box where it would be inaccessible when needed.

The information on this page is meant to provide a general overview of the law. The laws in your state and/or city may deviate significantly from those described here. If you have specific questions related to your situation you should speak with a local attorney.
