What is a Toyota motor vehicle defect?

By: LawInfo

A motor vehicle can be defective in one of three ways. Specifically, a motor vehicle is defective if: (1) there was a manufacturing defect – a part of the car that was not made according to the vehicle’s design and is flawed; (2) there was a design defect – the design of the car, or part of the car, was faulty and even if manufactured according to exact specifications would result in a defective product; or (3) there was a warning defect – the car manufacturer or retailer knew of a problem that would not be obvious to consumers and failed to warn consumers about the potential danger.
