What are the Residency and Filing Requirements for Divorce in Maryland?
If the grounds for divorce arose in Maryland then either party may file for divorce at any time. If the grounds for divorce arose outside the state of Maryland then one of the parties must have resided in Maryland for one year before the application for divorce is filed.
