How Long After An Injury Do I Have To Report It To My Employer?

You should immediately report any injury to your employer. The Pennsylvania Workers` Compensation Act requires an injured worker to notify the employer within 21 days of being injured. You have 120 days to advise your employer of a work injury, or, you have 120 days from the time you become aware that the injury or illness is workrelated. If you do not report an injury within this timeframe no compensation will be allowed.
