If I Am Injured On The Job Can I Choose The Doctor Who Treats Me?

The state basically permits the injured worker to use any doctor or surgeon. If the claimant received medical care from a physician of his own selection, in addition to filing the reports with the workers` compensation commission as required by law, the claimant or his duly authorized representative shall immediately upon receipt forward all reports and bills to the carrier, selfinsured, state accident fund, or the uninsured employers` fund.
