WHAT IS THE RELEVANT LAW IN MONTANA THAT GOVERNS ANIMALS AND PETS?

Montana State Statutes cover criminal matters and licensing requirements for pets and animals in the sub­sections contained within section 7­23 of the Montana State Statutes. Civil liability relating to dogs and other animals is covered by the subsections within section 27­1­715 through section 27­1­728. Additional coverage of useful animal law rules and regulations are contained in sections 49­8­209 through 49­8­211, and in section 87­4­407.
