Whose Job Is It To Catch A Stray Dog?
A dog running at large without a rabies vaccinations collar or proof of one should be impounded by local health officials or law enforcement. If the owner can be determined, then the owner will be notified and will have seven days to redeem the dog. If the owner does not pick up the dog within that specified time period, the dog will be disposed of either by adoption, euthanasia, or donation to research.
