A licensed real estate agent with experience in rental property management would have the experience and training considered most desirable to help you. Under Georgia law, any person who manages property must have a Georgia real estate license unless that person is the owner of the property; a fulltime employee of the owner; or, if the owner is a limited partnership, the general partner of that limited partnership. While property management tasks may be delegated to licensees or employees affiliated with a broker, it is the real estate broker who would be officially designated as the owner`s agent. Property management generally includes leasing, collecting rent, keeping records, making repairs, and carrying out preventive maintenance.
