Please Explain The Crime Check Process.
Another part of the application process includes the submission of a Crime Information Bureau report from the Wisconsin Department of Justice. The Office of the Commissioner of Insurance requires a crime check on each examination candidate. Please note that crime checks cannot be more than one hundred and eighty (180) days old at the time of examination. This report is required at the test site and is valid for 180 days, Complete and return the Crime Waiver Short Form Application for Written Consent to Engage in the Business of Insurance form with the appropriate fee ($13.00) to the Department of Justice as soon as possible to avoid any possible delay in testing. Candidates should not make an examination reservation until they have received a crime check back from the Department of Justice, as they will not be admitted to the examination without the completed form.
