What are the Charge for Driving Which Causes an Accident?

There is really not traffic offense called an "accident." Instead, one is charged with driving behavior that may have led to an accident. The most common accidentrelated traffic offenses are Following Too Closely or Failure to Yield a Right of Way. Usually, there are no witnesses to an accident other than the parties involved in the collision. Therefore, trials are very common as the parties may have different ideas as to how the accident occurred. Most convictions in this category result in a very small fine. However, in some cases, the traffic trial could be used against an individual in a subsequent civil traffic trial to determine fault and damages. Therefore, it is wise to retain an attorney for the traffic case.
