For a conviction of second offense DUI, a person can be fined a minimum of $2000.00 up to $5000.00 and imprisoned for at least 48 hours or up to 1 year. The fine cannot be suspended in an amount less than $1000.00. Again, a judge could order a person convicted of DUI 2nd to at least 10 days of public service instead of serving time in jail.
