• Q: Does A Person With Hiv Have To Inform Their Partner Of Their Status?
  A: Michigan Compiled Laws Annotated Section 14.15 provides that: A person who knows that he or she has or has been diagnosed as having AIDS or who knows that he or she is HIV positive, and who engages in sexual penetration with another person without informing that person of his HIV positive status or AIDS condition, is guilty of a felony. "Sexual penetration" means sexual intercourse, cunnilingus, fellatio, anal intercourse, or any other intrusion, however slight, of any part of a person's body or of any object into the genital or anal openings of another person's body. It is irrelevant for purposes of this offense whether semen has been emitted.
