Are There Any Child Care Programs Exempt From Regulation In Illinois?
Yes. If all children cared for are 3 years of age or older, and go to either an accredited educational or licensed non-profit religious organization for day care the care provider is exempt. Regardless of the children´s age the provider is exempt if: its location is on a federal facility, provides care in connection with a shopping center while the parents are shopping, or is a short term special activity program such as a summer camp.
