What If There Is A Pool At The Home Where I Want To Provide Child Care?
Pools, spas, ponds, fountains, streams, rivers, lakes and any other body of water must be made inaccessible. Children must never be left unattended in these areas. Pools and other bodies of water must be surrounded by a 5-foot safety fence that cannot be climbed. Any openings can not be more than 4 inches wide. Any self-latching gate must swing away from the body of water.
