Benefits after I return to work

After you have returned to work following a workrelated injury, state law may authorize payment of additional income benefits under certain circumstances. If you have been released by the doctor to return to work with limitations or restrictions and are making less money than you were at the time of your injury, you may be entitled to temporary partial disability payments. This benefit may be limited by the maximum weekly amount and total number of weeks you can be paid. You are also entitled to continuing medical care, as prescribed by the authorized physician, until you have completely recovered. It is important to understand the benefits you are entitled to under the workers' compensation law of the state where you are employed. For more information on workers' compensation benefits, contact a qualified attorney.
