What If A Non-Custodial Parent Has Taken A Job Out Of State?

Federal law requires all states to transmit information from State Directories to the National Directory of New Hires. This expands enforcement action nationwide and enables states to locate noncustodial parent working in another state.

The information on this page is meant to provide a general overview of the law. The laws in your state and/or city may deviate significantly from those described here. If you have specific questions related to your situation you should speak with a local attorney.
