What Is The Extended Benefit Program?

The Extended Benefit program goes into effect during years of significant unemployment and provides additional benefits to those individuals who exhaust their regular benefits and meet the eligibility requirements of this program. The weekly extended benefit amount payable to an individual for a week of total unemployment in his eligibility period is an amount equal to the weekly benefit amount payable to him during his applicable benefit year.
