Should I settle my Actos lawsuit?

A majority of lawsuits are resolved by settlement agreements.  However, there are consequences to settling a lawsuit.  For example, if you settle your lawsuit against Takeda Pharmaceuticals and later discover that your injuries are more harmful than you initially believed, you may be prevented from filing a later lawsuit against the manufacturer.  This is because of the legal doctrines of Collateral Estoppel and Res Judicata.  Before making the decision to settle, speak to a qualified attorney about your legal options.  An attorney with experience representing Actos victims will help you determine whether a settlement agreement will best serve your legal interests.

The information on this page is meant to provide a general overview of the law. The laws in your state and/or city may deviate significantly from those described here. If you have specific questions related to your situation you should speak with a local attorney.
