How do I vote by mail in the state of South Dakota?

In order to receive a mail-in absentee ballot, you must submit an absentee ballot application to your county auditor’s office. You must request an absentee ballot no later than 3:00 p.m. on Election Day, and you must return your completed absentee ballot to your county auditor’s office no later than the closing of the polls on Election Day.
