How do I vote by mail in the state of New Mexico?

In order to receive an absentee ballot, you must complete a New Mexico Absentee Ballot Application, which is available at any county clerk’s office, or the federal absentee ballot request form. The deadline for requesting an absentee ballot is 5:00 p.m. on the Thursday prior to a general election, but if you fax in the federal absentee ballot request form, the deadline is the Friday prior to a general election. Once you receive your ballot, you must complete it and return it to the county clerk’s office no later than 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.
