What sort of identification do I have to provide in order to vote in the state of Michigan?

If you are voting in person in the state of Michigan, you must provide photo ID. However, even if you forget or do not have a photo ID, you can sign an affidavit stating that you do not have a photo ID with you, and you will be permitted to vote.
